The beggar named Ramulu was a native of village in Sangareddy's Manoor mandal. He had migrated to Hyderabad six years back with his wife Kavitha. Both of them were suffering from leprosy.

On Friday night when his wife passed away, Ramulu decided to take her body to the native village for last rites. However, he didn't have Rs. 5000 to pay for ambulance. He then put the body of his wife on pushcart and started pushing it.

He lost the way in the night and ended up reaching Vikarabad on Saturday afternoon. He collapsed and broke down at Vikarabad where he was noticed by the locals.

The sympathetic locals pooled money for him after hearing his story and alerted the police who helped him arrange an ambulance to his village.

This incident is shocking at it comes few weeks after a similar incident that was reported in Odisha where a poor man was denied an ambulance and was forced to carry wife's body on his shoulder.
