On Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met with Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi. During the much hyped up meeting Kumar made it clear to Rahul that Tejashwi Yadav had to go.

Tejashwi Yadav son of Lalu Prasad Yadav has been under the scanner ever since the CBI conducted raids on him. Nitish Kumar has been insistent that he put in his papers. Moreover the opposition in Bihar has been pressurising Nitish to act against the junior Yadav. The Yadavs have however been adamant and said that the question of stepping down did not arise.
The Congress which is part of the Grand Alliance in Bihar has tried to broker peace between the JD(U) and RJD. However Nitish Kumar is clear that the question of a truce would arise only if Tejashwi steps down.
