Delhi Police team on Friday reached Tehelka magazine's Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal's residence in South Delhi's Jangpura area in the national capital.
Delhi police left Tejpal's residence few minutes after visiting and said that they had come to to "deliver some papers" to Tejpal.
After the victim filed an FIR against Tejpal, Goa police has formally requested Delhi police to assist in the investigation process.
"We must crackdown, especially on such high profile cases", Goa CM said.
According to the latest updates, it has been reported that Goa Police may arrive in Delhi today or tomorrow early morning to question Tejpal and start investigation.
Delhi police team that reached at Tejpal's residence is not sure whether he is present at home or not but some family members were seen coming and going out from his residence, a news channel reported.
Have told Goa police to deal with iron hand: Goa CM
Meanwhile, the Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar while talking to a news channel said that he has told Goa police to deal this case qwith an iron hand.
Parrikar said, "We must crackdown, especially on such high profile cases" while adding that there should be "zero-tolerance" in such cases.
Parrikar also asserted that in this case, "Tejpal is the culprit and the girl is victim."
