Teenager commits suicide at a Delhi metro station
New Delhi, June 8: A 19-year old allegedly jumped in front of a metro at South Delhi's Malviya Nagar metro station on Sunday. Hemant was undergoing treatment for depression, but is said to have taken his own life dir to some family discord.
Hemant bought a ticket for Rajiv Chowk from Malviya Nagar metro station and as the train approached, he jumped in front of it. Although the driver tried hard to pull the brakes, Hemant had already come in between the metro and the platform. Police said that his legs had crushed in the incident. HE was immediately taken to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
He was identified from the documents he was carrying and his parents were informed. The victim's father and brother reached the hospital and informed that Hemant was being treated for depression. No suicide note was recovered.
