TATA-Mistry saga gets a new twist: TATA's PR Rediffusion strikes at Mistry
E-passports to be rolled out soon to curb the fake passport menace.
Mumbai, Nov 17: TATA Group's PR firm- Rediffusion-Y&R- has now come into the picture of the tug of war between TATA and its evicted chairman Cyrus Mistry. The Diwan Arun Nanda-led communications firm warned Mistry not to place "selective facts" about the PR firm.
A letter was addressed directly to Mistry from Nanda, which was carried as an advertisement in many important newspapers across the country. The letter clearly stated that the firm's reputation has been built over a period of 43 years and that Nanda will not allow Mistry to tarnish it.
Mistry had alleged that Rediffusion's PR services were extended to Tata Trusts and paid for by Tata Sons. to this, Nanda said that this was done under Mistry's specific instructions Nanda and Tata's brand custodian Mukund Rajan.

Nanda further mentions that Rediffusion was hired to take over Tata Group's public affairs mandate from Nov 1, 2011 after its contract with aishnavi Communications expired on October 31, 2011.
