Kolkata, July 1: 56-year-old Tapas Pal, who has made headlines with his shocking statement on rape, may face stern action from his party -- Trinamool Congress (TMC). Pal, an actor-turned-politician, triggered national outrage.

Tapas Pal landed in the latest controversy following one video in which he was caught saying, "If any CPI(M) man is present here. Listen to me. If you ever touch any Trinamool Congress worker or their families at Choumaha, you have to pay for this. Don't try to act smart with me. I am smarter than you. I am not from Kolkata."

"If you insult the mothers and daughters of Trinamool workers. Then I won't spare you. I will let lose my boys in your homes and they will commit rape. I will teach each of you a lesson," Tapas Pal told.

With this latest 'rape' controversy, Pal has become Madhuri Dixit's 'Hero' to Mamata Banerjee's 'Zero'. The famous Bollywood actress had made her debut with Tapas Pal in 1984 in the Hindi movie 'Abodh' directed by Hiren Nag.
