Tamil Nadu Shocker: Classroom fight becomes deadly, friend kills boy in school
Chennai, Nov 13: 17-year-old boy killed his classmate during their fight inside school premise in Madurai on Wednesday, Nov 13. The horrible incident took place at Vilampatti near Nilakottai in Dindigul district.
The deceased, who has been identified as Vinod, was a Class 12 student of Kallar Reclamation Higher Secondary School. The deadly fight took place as both boys started assaulting each other. They hurled their text books at each other.
According to police sources, Vinod fainted as his classmate dealt him a blow on the back of the neck. Meanwhile, other students, who were present at the classroom during the fight, raised an alarm when they could not revive him. He was rushed to the government hospital in Nilakottai, where he was declared dead.

Family members of the deceased refused to accept his body as they demanded strict police action against the teachers of the school who failed to notice and stop the nasty fight between the two young boys inside the school.
Media reports quoted sources as saying that the school is plagued by problems among students. There are often caste disputes between boys, which result in frequent fights. However, Wednesday's incident had nothing to do with any caste problem as both the boys hailed from backward classes.
