Swine flu death toll in Rajasthan rises to 15

Jaipur, Sept 29: A 40-year-old woman died of swine flu in Ajmer, taking the death toll due to H1N1 virus in last two months to 15 in the state, an official said today.

The woman had died on September 26 and with her death the toll due in the state rose to 15 in August and September, a health department official told PTI here.

Of these, three persons died in Kota, two each in Ajmer, Baran, Jhalawar, Bundi, and one each in Udaipur, Tonk, Jaipur, and Bikaner, he said.

Of the 42 people found positive for H1N1 virus, 27 are still under treatment at various hospitals in the state, he added.

There has been no death due to dengue in Rajasthan so far although 1,500 positive cases have been reported, the official said, adding, of this, Kota reported 592 cases, Jaipur 282 and Barmer 112 positive cases, he said.
