New Delhi, Oct 12: Once again the needles of suspicion point towards the role of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor in his wife Sunanda Pushkar's mysterious death.

According to Zee News report, Late Sunanda Pushkar's cousin Ashok Kumar made a sensational claim on Friday saying that the family members knew that her death was not natural but was 'pre-planned'.

Sunanda's cousin makes shocking revelations

Ashok Kumar even revealed a shocking truth that Sunanda's son Shiv Menon was dcared to speak the truth.

He also told the news channel that the main cause of tiff between the couple was Tharoor's alleged closeness with the Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.

Kumar also questioned Tharror's absence when Sunanda was not feeling well at a Delhi hotel in January.

Demanding justice for her deceased cousin, Kumar sought a fresh CBI investigation into her death.

What Shiv Pushkar Menon says?

Meanwhile, Shiv Pushkar Menon slammed Kumar's claims by saying, "the so-called member of the family who has been garnering media attention, I wish to point out that he has had no contact of any kind with my mother in several years and that we have never met.

"I reject his sudden new-found concern for her and utterly dismiss his claim to speak in any way for our family," he was quoted as saying.

Sunanda's son, Shiv, who is reportedly in Dubai, on Saturday asked Delhi Police to conclude the inquiry into his mother's death 'expeditiously and impartially'.

However, this time too, Shiv said he joins his stepfather Shashi Tharoor in requesting the investigating officers to conclude the inquiry.

Expressing faith in the police, Shiv hoped for truth behind his mother's death would be out soon and also requested everyone to wait for conclusion of probe.

On Friday, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that no CBI probe was needed as the Delhi Police was competent enough to find the truth.

"We will continue doing whatever we are doing in the quest for truth," Bassi had said, while adding that foresic evidence available on Sunanda Pushkar's death is not conclusive.

Pushkar's latest post mortem report that was leaked on Thursday revealed that she died of poisioning.

Pushkar, 52, was found dead in mysterious circumstances in her room at a five-star hotel in south Delhi on 17 January.
