The major part of his discussion would include the anti-depressant and other drugs recovered from Sunanda's rooms. Meanwhile, sources say that it is a drug overdose that led to her death.
Investigating officials will, however, study the phone calls exchanged between Tharoor and his wife in the last few hours before her death.
Shashi Tharoor, meanwhile, was questioned about his marital relationship with his wife and his links to the Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar. Tharoor himself is said to have recorded his statement before the SDM on Sunday as he was the first one to discover the body of his wife.
Among the others who were questioned include Sunanda's brother, his son, and Nalini Singh, Sunanda's friend and a journalist who claimed to have spoken to her the night before her death.
The personal staff of the Tharoor family has also been questioned regarding the relationship the couple shared. With these crucial evidences, the police may finally come to a conclusion within just a day or two.
Moreover, in the wake of media speculations,Tharoor wrote to the Home MInister for a speedy probe into the matter. "I am horrified to read the reckless speculation rampant in media. I am appealing to you to issue instructions to expedite the investigations so that the truth emerges at the earliest. Nothing short of the truth will end the indignity to which my wife and I are being subjected," he said.
Meanwhile the SDM probe is likely to be over by Tuesday or Wednesday.
