Subrata Roy has more reason to "hate himself"; SC extends custody
Even assurances of returning the Rupees 20,000 crore by the next 2 months did not convince the Supreme Court. Roy's unbailable custody was hence extended.
The Sahara supremo has been the centre of controversy ever since two of his companies did not refund Rs 20,000 crore to the investors. The order to arrest Roy was issued on February 26 as he was not appearing before the apex court.
However, further controversies were ignited as he was given high-class treatment and was allowed to travel in his own luxury car to the court. He has also been held in a luxury guest house.
While experts were yet to figure out the VIP treatment that was given to Roy, protestors went into action when one of them threw ink on him in the SC premises.
