Stung by NIA, top Kashmir separatists in desperate need of a good advocate

The NIA has built a water tight case in the Hurriyat terror funding investigation. The courts too have been careful in hearing bail applications and has taken cognisance of the fact that the case is a sensitive one. Any brash order at this time could derail the entire case and the efforts of the NIA could go down the drain.

The biggest worry is for the top leaders such as Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq. One of their mates, Shabbir Shah is already in jail for a money laundering case. This has got the others worried.

The NIA too has been gradually building up evidence. It has already questioned over 7 top Hurriyat leaders and is building up evidence against the likes of Geelani and Faqooq.
