Ahmedabad, May 31: A student in Gujarat has secured perfect 100 in Econpmics but failed to score even pass marks in other subjects.
Teachers and educationist found it surprisisng and looking for an exaplanation on the marksheet of the girl student who took Class 12 exam of the Gujarat state board this year.
"Scoring a perfect 100 in Economics is unusual, specially for a student who scored only 13 marks out of 100 in Gujarati language, 4 in Sanskrit, 20 in Sociology, 5 in Psychology and 35 in Geography," Times of India quoted experts as saying.
"The result may be an outcome of an error during tabulation, when a 10 was mistakenly entered as 100." said educationist Dr KIrit Joshi.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) have announced the Class 12 Arts and Commerce examination results on May 27.
