Launching a fresh attack on the TDP-NDA alliance, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "One of the poll planks of BJP and TDP was to provide special category status to Andhra Pradesh. In fact they even went one step ahead and declared in their manifesto that the state will get 10 years of special category status instead of five. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his speech in Tirupathi, also spoke on the same issue."

Alleging that BJP and TDP are doing opportunistic politics, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "How can they come to forget their promise after coming to power?"

Meanwhile, the ruling party-TDP is also planning to mount pressure on the central government.
