New Delhi, Jan 15: Buoyed by recent poll victories-first in Lok Sabha election and then State assembly polls, BJP seems to be in a mood to repeat its magic in Delhi assembly polls too.

As the Election Commission has announced the due date (Feb 7) for election in the capital, the Saffron party is not leaving any stone unturned this time as last time they fell short of four seats in 70 member Assembly.

Delhi: Is it Jaya Prada Vs Kejriwal?

BJP knows that AAP is the only competitor which can wobble its way to move into driver's seat in Delhi election. So the Saffron party is toying with all permutations and combinations to outshine rival party. [Delhi assembly election 2015: Kiran Bedi likely to join BJP]

Latest reports say that former SP leader Jaya Prada may join BJP in coming days. It is being said that the former Rampur MP Jaya Prada has expressed her wish to contest Delhi assembly election against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi constituency.

Though BJP has yet not taken any official decision on Jaya Prada, but sources say that she may be given chance as actress turned politician could be useful in wooing Telgu people residing in Delhi.

Jaya Prada had started her political career from TDP and joined Amar Singh's SP in the early 2000. To revive her political fortune , she contested 2014 Lok Sabha election on RLD ticket from Bijnore seat of Uttar Pradesh. But unfortunately she failed in her attempt.

It seems, Jaya Prada wants to join Modi led BJP because she knows that Saffron party is like rising sun. Recent electoral victories by Modi-led party, first in Lok Sabha and then in State election has proven it's midas touch.

Apparently, with the motive to give spur to her sagging political career, Jaya Prada has expressed her willingness to join the Modi brigade.

Women power in poll

BJP looks in mood to cash on the women power in the most competive poll in Delhi. Latest reports say former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has joined BJP. It is being believed that party wants to use Bedi's experience in police force. The saffron party may give message loud and clear to people that party is very serious with deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. If party will be elected in the election, it will provide better women security who is at receiving end at present. Party may give out sense that being a woman herself, Bedi understands women's plight.
