Islamabad, Jan 29: Pakistan has decided not to show any haste in resumption of stalled Indo-Pak dialogue and will wait till India is ready to talk on all issues, according to a media report here.

A source in the Prime Minister's Office, who was privy to High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit's discussions with Nawaz Sharif here yesterday, was quoted as saying by the Dawn that it has been decided in principle to show no haste in resumption of the stalled dialogue.

Stalled Indo-Pak dialogue: 'Pak will show no haste in resumption of talks with India'.
"Pakistan will wait till India is ready to talk and talk on all issues," the paper quoted the source as saying.

Sharif had told Basit during the meeting with him at PM's House that Pakistan wants "normal" ties with India on the basis of "mutual respect and sovereign equality" and described India as an important neighbour.

India cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan after Basit held talks with Kashmiri separatists just before the parleys in Islamabad in August last year.

The daily quoting a senior national security official also said that the Government has decided to take a tougher approach towards India and raise its concerns over alleged Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in Pakistan at various forums.
