New Delhi, Jan 19: Seems induction of former IPS officer and social activist Kiran Bedi in BJP and the special treatment she's getting hasn't gone down well with a few leaders in the party. BJP MP from Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, has openly said that he did not attend the tea party held at Bedi's residence because he was not pleased with her decision.
As per an NDTV report, Tiwari told reporters, "I didn't like the way she spoke to BJP workers a few days ago.. I wasn't there...but this is the feedback I've got from workers. She should be humble, she has been brought on as a BJP worker. She is not the Chief Ministerial candidate so far."
He had also said, "We don't need someone like a thaanedar (policeman). We need a leader who can take everyone along."
Kiran has reportedly complained the party leadership over Tiwari's statement and the leadership has snubbed the Delhi MP for showing resentment in the public. [Delhi Election 2015: More Details]
Kiran had also invited senior BJP leader and Union Minister, Harsh Vardhan, but she didn't meet Vardhan for he arrived late at the party. However, the minister claimed that he had already informed Bedi that he'll be delayed but she left her residence without waiting for him.
At a time when the speculations are rife that BJP might declare Bedi as party's CM for Delhi polls there is also a section in the party which is unhappy with the decision.
