SP leader resigns from Lok Sabha, to join BJP

New Delhi, March 7: Brijbhushan Sharan Singh, the SP MP from Kaiserganj who has resigned from the

Lok Sabha on Friday has said in his letter to Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar that the party has deviated from its development agenda and has failed to maintain communal harmony after forming the government of Uttar Pradesh.

Singh also alleged that the government has no say on its machinery and due to the present scenario, "he is resigning from his Lok Sabha membership."

Internal sources confirm that Singh may join BJP, the party which he had represented earlier in Lok Sabha.
