New Delhi, Jan 23: Days after Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav took a dig at BJP for its anti-conversion rhetoric, SP leader has thrown a fresh salvo.
Taking a swipe for recent remarks by various hothead Hindu leaders suggesting that people of religion should bear more children apparently to counterbalance Muslim population, senior UP minister Shivpal Singh Yadav has said they must first follow what they preach.
"Some leaders of Hindutva organisations are asking Hindu women to give birth to four children...First they should themselves do the same", Yadav said.
As per news report, Mulayam's brother Shivpal Singh Yadav asked, " Will Sadvi Prachi herself bear 4 children which she has been rigorously preaching till now" .
Earlier, reacting sharply over recent Ghar Wapsi like campaign, Yadav had said BJP leaders should marry their daughters and sisters with theses 'reconverts'.
"BJP leaders had promised they will get those who make 'ghar wapasi' married.Already, the BJP has failed to fulfill the promises it made before the general election. Now, raking up ghar wapasi and love jihad are vile attempts to divert public attention from senior developmental issues", Controversial leader said.
This comment has come days after Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan made shocking allegations against BJP leader Sakshi Maharaj. Khan had said that controversial BJP leader Maharaj was responsible for Unnao incident where more than 100 dead bodies were found floating in the Ganga.
At a time when communal harmony in the country is already at risk, SP leader's comments may vitiate the animosity between two communities-Hindu and Muslims.
