Smriti Irani's behaviour exposes her double standards: Bihar education minister
Patna, June 14: Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Tuesday (June 14) engaged in a war of words with Bihar Education Minister Ashok Choudhary on the micro-blogging website Twitter over the word 'Dear' which the latter used to address the former.
Talking exclusively to OneIndia Choudhary said: " Irani's behaviour exposes double standards. Dear is not at all a disrespectful word. However, since she was in Bihar, I asked Smriti Irani about education policies."
"I was just asking a question on behalf of the students of Bihar. We have been promised so much without any result."
"She always diverts from the main issue of education and focus on unnecessary subjects on Twitter debate. Irani has the habit of insulting Dalits and it was so in the case of Rohith Vemula and now she has insulted me too. I also hail from the Dalit community," Choudhary said.
Choudhary took to Twitter to ask Smriti Irani about the new education policy for the state. He tweeted:
"Dear .@smritiirani ji, कभी राजनीति और भाषण से वक़्त मिले तो शिक्षा निति की तरफ भी ध्यान दें"

"@smritiirani ji has learnt a lot from Modiji...Fake promises and shifting blames to others for non-delivery is lesson1 in Sangh's book"

Following which Irani also replied:
@AshokChoudhaary mahilaon ko 'dear' keh ke kab se sambodhit karne lage Ashokji ?

To which Choudhary countered:

Usually Irani does not take criticism very lightly and despite of being a minister she is very active on Twitter.
Even the Twiteratti enjoyed the spat and chipped in:
@smritiirani I must have made the mistake cuz i didn't attend 4 Days degree program, Hope you will start it soon in India. @AshokChoudhaary
