Smriti Irani finds hidden camera in garment store's changing room, files FIR

Candolim (Goa), April 3: Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Friday filed an FIR (First Information Report) against a garment store of popular clothing chain Fabindia here after she found a hidden camera in its changing room.

Irani, 39, who is holidaying in the state which is ruled by her party BJP, had gone for shopping at the Fabindia store in Candolim when she saw the camera.

She immediately called up local legislator Michael Lobo of her own party and the later filed the FIR. It was said that the camera was positioned in a way that it focussed right into the changing room and was not easily accessible.

The police registered a case of outraging a woman's modesty against the store and was probing who was behind installing the camera there. Irani recorded a statement at the Candolim Police Station.
