Mumbai, Jan 28: A shocking video has been uploaded on YouTube. The video, which captured a horrible scene, has gone viral on social networking sites.
In the video, a 55-year-old woman was crushed to death under the wheels of a train. The accident took place at Borivali station in Mumbai on Wednesday, Jan 27.
According to media reports, the woman along with her relatives was scheduled to travel in Vadodara Express. The train reached Borivali station on time but all family members of the woman failed to board the train.
Hence, they decided to drop their plan of travelling on the train. In the video, a man was seen first offloaded their luggage and then he was seen helping the aged woman to get down from the train.
However, after standing at the station for ten minutes, the train already had started moving out of the platform and the woman crushed under the wheels of the train. She slipped and fell into the gap where she died on the spot.
Speaking about the accident, a Government Railway Police (GRP) official was quoted as saying, "Basically, they panicked and did not realise that the train would go to Bandra and then leave in the direction of Gujarat. It is a very sad incident as it could have been completely avoided."
The woman reportedly had come to Mumbai to see her ailing brother. She was staying with her relative, the man who was seen in the video helping the woman.
