Jodhpur, Sept 11: Shilpi, the Chhindwara Gurukul Ashram hostel warden, who was absconding since her name was connected with Asaram Bapu, has brought a new twist in the sexual assault case. Days after all controversies, the warden on Wednesday, Sept 11 claimed that she does not know the self-proclaimed godman. Shilpi also moved a session court in Jodhpur seeking anticipatory bail.

Earlier it was reported that Asaram allegedly had physical relation with Shilpi who also used to supply girls, women to the spiritual leader. Asaram was arrested in connection with a sexual assault case in which he was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old minor girl in his ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Shilpi came in police radar when it was reported that the hostel warden along with another accused had told the girl's parents that the girl had evil spirit, hence forced them to visit Asaram's ashram. Later the "guru" took the girl inside his room and allegedly had molested her.

Media reports had claimed that Shilpi had intimate relations with Asaram from past many years. In return to that, Asaram reportedly gifted her two flats each in Delhi and Ahmedabad.

However, Jodhpur Police later overruled such reports saying that nothing like this (physical relation between Asaram and Shilpi) has come to light during the investigation.

The father of the victim recently has raised demand of conducting narco test on Asaram who currently has been lodged in Central Jail in Jodhpur. He was arrested from his ashram in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

The father expressed reservation over the support pouring in from the "blind followers" of 72-year-old Asaram Bapu and said that if they are so sure of his innocence why does the godman not face the polygraph and brain mapping tests. Continuing his statement, the father added, "These tests would bring out the truth before the people and the world."
