UP shocker: Man attempts to rape stepdaughter, inserts rod

New Delhi, Nov 10: A shocking incident has come to the light where a father raped his own daughter in Meerut district of the Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, a 50-year-old tractor-driver allegedly attempted to rape his 27-year-old stepdaughter, who is a divorcee.

The incident took place when father in drunken state came to meet her estranged wife and started beating her. The victim tried to save her and faced wrath from her father. The report says that father even inserted a rod into her private parts.

At present the victim who is mother of 5-year old son, is admitted in the ICU of Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial (LLRM) Medical College in the district.

Narrating the incident, survivor's 15-year-old younger sister said, "My father was drunk when he came to our house on Sunday evening and was fighting with my mother. Soon after, he started beating her. When my elder sister intervened, he grabbed her by her hair and took her to another room".

Meanwhile, Police have arrested the man after victim's mother filed a complaint alleging that her second husband tried to rape and assault her daughter.

According to the complainant, she had married the accused, a resident of Bhagwanpur, after her first husband died in a road accident 22 years ago. She had a daughter and a son from first marriage and two daughters and one son from her second marriage.

On November 2, similar incident had taken place in Vijayawada, district of Andhra Pradesh. A 42-year-old man allegedly raped his 17-year-old daughter repeatedly for a year. The shocking crime came into notice when the victim and her mother gathered courage to go to police against the accused.
