Bihar, April 7: Few days ago, family members of students appearing in Class 10th board exams were caught scaling the walls of a multi-storeyed school building, in an attempt to hand over them cheating material, in Hajipur district of Bihar.
Now, even a more apalling report has come according to which, the teachers who are evaluating the examination sheets left everyone shocked.
"At a school in Saharsa district, Tamanna Ali is evaluating English answer papers. Asked to spell 'Shakespeare', this is what he came up with: "S-h-a-k-s-p-e-a-r," says the report.
Not only this, NDTV also asked a teacher evaluating math papers to explain the relevance of Pythagoras Theorem taught which he could not explain and when the teacher was asked to spell 'Mathematics,' he spelled it as "M-a-t-h-m-a-t-e-s."
Earlier nearly 3,000 primary school teachers were sacked by a court as they failed to clear competency tests twice. They were tested for English, Math, Hindi and General Knowledge up to the Class 5 level.
Few days ago, what can be said as a pathetic state of education in Bihar, family members were seen passing along bits of paper with answers written on them to boys, who handed over them to students, in Hajipur district of the state.
Entire question paper was solved and was handed over to students who simply copied it down. In the scaling act, while offering their full support to students for cheating and putting their lives at stake, some of the people even fell to the ground and got injured.
Despite heavy police deployment and invigilators, the cheating menace could not be curbed. Some students were caught openly cheating during the exams.
Surprisingly, some of the teachers revealed that such kind of cheating practice is rampant in the school from last several years.
The similar incident was also reported from Vaishali district's Vidya Niketan School.
