Sheena Bora Murder Case Turns Murkier: Mail trail among Peter, Rahul, Indrani Mukerjea exposed

Mumbai, Nov 24: As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) tabled its charge-sheet in sensational Sheena Bora murder case, tricky mail trail among Indrani Mukerjea, Peter Mukerjea and Rahul Mukerjea has been exposed.

In its 1000-page charge-sheet, CBI revealed content of emails which were shared among the trio who were very close to 23-year-old Sheena.

Rahul, Indrani and Peter Mukerjea

In the mails, Rahul repeatedly expressed his concern for Sheena and he told Peter Mukerjea that he would not believe Indrani's version untill unless he himself spoke to Sheena.

Rahul and Sheena were in love and decided to get married by the end of 2012. However, Indrani, who did not like their relationship, allegedly killed Sheena in April 2012.

In the charge-sheet, CBI charged Indrani with murder and criminal conspiracies. What surprised everyone that Peter too has been named in the charge-sheet.

Sheena was Indrani's daughter from her previous marriage. Later when she got married to Peter, the former media baron, she did not disclose Sheena's real identity.

Sheena was introduced as Indrani's sister. When Sheena met Rahul, Peter's son from previous, she fell in love. Indrani was upset with Sheena and Rahul.

After killing Sheena, Indrani told Rahul and Peter that Sheena had gone to US for higher studies. However, Rahul did not believe her.

He exchanged many mails with his father Peter Mukerjea. In one of the mails, Rahul wrote, "To resolve this issue before it gets out of hand for everyone, I would suggest that you get Sheena to speak to me (or a close friend of hers) herself, and perhaps then, like you say, we can all move on and be happy. Unless I hear from Sheena herself, it is simply impossible to accept what you say with all this doubt in my mind. Unfortunately, said doubt is leading me to be somewhat suspicious as to the reasons why she will not, or is unable, to speak for herself."
