Mumbai, Oct 28: Now mosquitoes have been troubling Indrani Mukerjea in jail. It has been reported that the main accused in sensational Sheena Bora murder case has been suffering from dengue.

According to media reports, Indrani's platelet count has dropped to around 64,000 and her blood sample for more tests would be collected on Oct 31.

She had been complaining of fever and other dengue-related symptoms for a week. A team of medicos from the hospital checked her condition inside the Byculla Jail on Wednesday, Oct 28.

Team medical team later recommended the authorities to shift her from the jail premises to the hospital for better treatment. She has been admitted to JJ Hospital.

Indrani earlier was admitted to hospital when she fell unconscious in the prison. Later it was suspected to be a case of drug overdose. However, she herself had refuted such reports.

Indrani, wife for former CEO of Star India, Peter Mukerjea was arrested from their Mumbai residence in Aug 2015. She along with her former husband and driver allegedly had killed Sheena in 2012.

Sheena was Indrani's daughter from her first marriage. Indrani, however, did not reveal Sheena's real identity while getting married to Peter. She introduced Sheena as her sister.

It has been reported that Indrani might have been killed Sheena as the latter might have blackmailed the former.

Though Mumbai Police arrested Indrani and other two accused, the case later was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). All three accused were sent to judicial custody.
