Mumbai, Sept 11: Another twist in Sheena Bora murder case...Are you expecting another sensational information? Then we are sorry, we don't have any more information. A sudden awkward silence brought the new "twist" in the case. This time even Indrani Mukerjea might be shocked!
After all hullabaloos for over two weeks, Indian media suddenly has become silent about Sheena Bora murder case. There were no marathon police grilling, no police chief, no media crew outside police stations.
Many top officials of Mumbai Police, who were involved in the investigation case, now were busy attending meetings on security arrangements for upcoming Ganpati festival in the city.
The core team members, who were handling the case under Rakesh Maria's supervision, claimed that the major part of the investigation was over. All three accused in the case have already sent from police custody to judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the present Mumbai Police Commissioner Ahmed Javed refused to reveal any information about the investigation. He was quoted as saying, "The probe will progress like any other case. It is team work and who interrogates the accused is a question that will be handled in a manner that's professional."
The investigation hit a roadblock when Rakesh Maria got promoted as the Director General of Police (DGP). Now investigating officers too were confused about who will head the team.
The high profile Sheena Bora murder case made headlines when Mumbai Police arrested Indrani Mukerjea, wife of former CEO of Star India Peter Mukerjea.
Sheena Bora had gone missing in 2012. Her mother Indrani Mukerjea was arrested as the main accused in the case. Indrani along with her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai was accused of killing Sheena.
It has been claimed that the trio allegedly killed Sheena and disposed of her body in a jungle in Raigard, near Mumbai.
Sheena was Indrani's daughter from her first marriage with Siddharth Das. Sheena was in a relationship with Rahul Mukerjea, who is Peter Mukerjea's son from his previous marriage.
