What Shashi had said last year?

Tharoor had maintained that reports regarding a strained relationship with Sunanda were baseless. There were petty fights but it was resolved he had said while adding these were common in a marriage.

He further told the Delhi police that he realised that something was wrong when he entered into the hotel room that night.
I asked, "Are you ok?" There was no response and that is when I realised that something was wrong.

Shashi Tharoor back in Delhi

The former minister is now back in Delhi. He flew into the capital from Kerala where he had spent a couple of days.
Delhi police officials tell oneindia that that there in no plan of questioning him immediately.

‎We are aware that he is back. However no date and time has been fixed to question him although he will be as part of the investigation, the officer also informed.

Likely questions for Tharoor

The Delhi police will largely base the questioning of Tharoor on the statements that they have gathered following the fresh FIR being registered. He will be asked about the visitors who met Sunanda just before her death.

Further a lot of the questions would be based on what his domestic help had told the police two days back. The mysterious Katy who according to the domestic help was a cause for their fights in Dubai will also be posed before Tharoor.

They would also like know about the statements regarding a family friend Sunil Takru who Sunanda is said to have been in touch with.

Forensic report may take time

The visceral samples which were sent to London for examination may take time to come back. It may take atleast another three months sources say.

The samples have been sent to determine what poison could have led to her death. Investigations would ascertain if there was Polonium 210 or Thallium. However sources also indicate that the poison may have been injected and not force fed due to injury no.10 which is a syringe mark.
