Mumbai, Dec 3: Sharad Pawar on Wednesday, Dec 3 received severe injuries and he has been hospitalised in Mumbai. According to sources, the NCP Chief met with an accident at his residence in New Delhi.
Sources informed that 73-year-old Pawar slipped during morning walk inside his Janpath bungalow in the national capital. He suffered injury in his leg and apparently in his back.
Pawar has been taken to Mumbai by air ambulance. He has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in the city. It has been informed that Pawar's wife Pratibha and daughter Supriya Sule are accompanying him.
Though sources informed that Pawar has been injured, they did not elaborate further on his condition. Pawar, who left Congress and formed Nationalist Congress Party in 1999, is currently a member of Rajya Sabha.
The 73-year-old political leader is a three-time chief minister of Maharashtra and a former Union Minister.
