Mahajan, the BJP MP from Mumbai North Central, asked Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to demolish a ramp adjacent to Shahrukh Khan's bungalow Mannat in Bandra.
The MP on Jan 29 wrote a letter to BMC chief describing about complaints by residents who face trouble for the ramp which is used to park the vanity van of the superstar.
Shahrukh Khan has been accused of constructing the ramp illegally. Mahajan in her letter mentioned that an illegal ramp has been constructed by a bungalow owner in Bandra, hence, refrained from taking the names of Khan or Mannat.
According to sources, several residents, who face problem for the ramp, met Mahajan and submitted documents which proved the road belongs to the government and should be handed over to the public for use. [Mumbai Shocker: Shahrukh Khan gets kicked over his Mannat, faces protest]
Earlier many people protested outside Mannat in 2014. The protesters had raised demand to demolish the controversial ramp which barred people to enter a church.
Residents allege that the controversial ramp stands on public property and blocks access to the stairs that lead to Mount Mary Church from Bandstand.
