New Delhi, Dec 3: A committee to oversee steps to return money to those investors who lost money in the Saradha scam will be set up following a direction of the Calcutta High Court. The court wants to ensure that all those who had invested money in the Saradha group get their money back.

The ongoing probe into the Saradha scam by both the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate is also making attempts to recover the money.

The central agencies are also working with their international counterparts to ensure that the money invested outside the country by mastermind Sudipta Sen is brought back and returned to the investor.

The committee which is being set up will be headed by a retired judge of the Calcutta High Court. Those who have lost money will have to approach this committee and claim what they have lost.

It would be a long drawn process, but the intention of the committee would be to ensure that all those who have lost hard earned money get the same back.

The decision to set up a committee was made vide a judicial order passed by the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, Justice Manjula Chellur.

The order was passed while disposing off a petition filed a section of the investors. In their petition the investors sought a directive from the High Court for repayment of the money they had lost to the Saradha group.
