New Delhi, Dec 23: The questioning of Dola Sen, a Rajya Sabha MP of the Trinamool Congress Party is expected to throw more light on the ongoing investigations into the Saradha scam.
The CBI had summoned Dola Sen to appear before it for questioning after her name was said to have been taken by Shankudeb Panda another TMC leader who was questioned twice by the agency.
This is a very crucial phase of the investigation which is drawing to a close. The CBI is expected to file its final report before the Supreme Court of India by the end of January 2016.
The CBI will question Dola Sen on her alleged links with the mastermind of the scam, Sudipta Sen. Dola Sen is said to have been associated with a news channel that was being run by the Saradha group. The CBI will investigate a monetary transaction allegedly made by the Saradha group to Dola Sen.
CBI officials say that several big names have cropped up following the questioning of Panda. He has take several names and over the next two weeks we will summon all of them for questioning. These names will figure in the final report depending on the evidence that we manage to collect against them, the CBI officer also informed.
