Sachin Tendulkar to be Kerala's anti-narcotics campaign face, says CM Pinarayi Vijayan
Kerala, June 1: On Wednesday, (June 1 ) former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar agreed to be the face of the Kerala government's anti-narcotic campaign.
According to reports, Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan has confirmed after Tendulakar and along with other of the Kerala Blasters Football Club (KBFC) met him at the state secretariat on Wednesday.
Later, Tendulkar said: "I have given consent to use my name against the liquor and drug abuse in the state and will cooperate in campaign too."
Other than Tendulkar, actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi, actor Akkineni Naagarjuna and Prasad, the co-owners of the KBFC, state Sports Minister E P Jayarajan, Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac were present on the ocassion.
On being asked over 'Ambassdor' for the campaign, Vijayan said " these things will be discussed later."
