In a major development the Bengaluru District President of Popular Front of India, Asim Shariff was on Thursday arrested by Commercial street police in connection with RSS member Rudresh murder case. The case that had created a political stir in Karnataka is almost coming to a close with Shariff's detainment.
Sources from the police department tell OneIndia that Asim Shariff was the mastermind in the murder. Bengaluru police had previously arrested 4 people associated with PFI for the RSS worker's murder. Investigations revealed that they were carrying out instructions from another person.
With the information they gathered from those arrested the police observed Shariff's movements and detained him for questioning in the wee hours of Thursday.
Police sources further reveal that the man arrested today had planned to murder 2 other right wing organisation members on the same day but Rudresh was the only casualty.
