Mangaluru, May 31: Manju Neereshwallya aka Manjunath Shenoy who was arrested by the Mangaluru police on the charges of harboring and protecting a key accused in RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case Naresh Shenoy, has been granted conditional bail on Monday, May 30 by the II Judicial Magistrate First Class Court.
Manju was in the police custody from past three days. He was granted bail while he was produced by the police in the court. The police have booked him under sections 302 (Murder), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offence) and 212 (Harbouring offender).

In another bail hearing in the High Court of Karnataka, Naresh Shenoy's anticipatory bail hearing was deferred to June 1. The hearing came in court on May 30. Naresh is named as prime accused and absconder in the case and applied for anticipatory bail on May 4. Earlier on April 29 an Additional District and Sessions Court in Mangaluru rejected the bail plea of Naresh Shenoy, following which he moved the HC.
