Revealed: How Modi govt plans to celebrate its first year completion

New Delhi/ Mathura, May 20: Modi government is preparing in a grand way, to commemorate its first anniversary celebration from the birth place of late Bhartiya Jan Sangh president Deen Dayal Upadhyaya in Nagla Chandrabhan village, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.

According to TOI report, PM Narendra Modi will hold a public rally in the village, where he is expected to highlight the initiatives taken by his government for the rural and poor sections of the society, as part of 'Jan Kalyan Parv' (People's Welfare Festival) celebrations.

BJP's national spokesperson, Shrikant Sharma was quoted saying as to the ET, "this is Upadhyay ji's 125th birth anniversary year, and it was decided that the rally be held at his birth place as a mark of respect to Upadhyay ji. The rally would be held in the Nagla Chandrabhan village and not the city. It will be attended by a large number of farmers from various districts and reaffirm the government's commitment to the farming community".

Modi is also likely to hold at least 500 press conferences all across the country, to interact about governance in last twelve months.

According to Zee News report, 'Varsh Ek Kaam Anek' & 'Modi Sarkaar Kaam Lagataar' slogans will be used to mark a mega celebrations of an year of Modi govt.

Union ministers and BJP MPs and functionaries will fan out across the country to tell people about the welfare measures taken for the underprivileged sections and farmers as part of a week-long 'Jan Kalyan Parv' which the party has lined up to mark the NDA government's completion of one year in office.

Meanwhile, party leaders in Mathura are expecting declaration of a few welfare schemes on the occasion by Modi, that would be a befitting tribute to Upadhyay

In last one year, the Modi government has announced schemes like Antyodaya and skill development programme after the late leader.

RSS, the ideaulogue of BJP, also held two conferences- one in Thiruvananthapuram and another in Varanasi, where it popularised Upadhyay's image and ideas.

Last year, CBSE also held a nationwide writing competition in the name of 'Expression Series' about the life and times of "renowned thinker Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay".

"Saal Ek, Shuruat Anek"

Meanwhile, it ha been reported that the tagline of the first year celebrations of the Modi government is- "Saal Ek, Shuruat Anek"(One year, Many initiatives).

Around 250 rallies are scheduled to take place between May 26 and May 31, that will be addressed by various leaders, as part of the completion of first year celebrations of the NDA government.

Meerut, Jhansi, Ballia, Lucknow and Kanpur will also witness similar celebrations.

Doordarshan will also broadcast special programmes related to the Modi govt, during the celebration days.

BJP chief Amit Shah, Finance minister Arun Jaitley, foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and telecom minister Ravishankar Prasad recently held a day-long workshop for the party's national spokespersons and briefed them about the achievements that can be highlighted.

Reports also say that the party also plans to make use of the over 10 crore members who joined during the recently concluded membership drive.
