Reliance may extend JIO deadline beyond March 31
Once enrolled, prime members will continue to enjoy the benefits of the company's 'Happy New Year' plan.
Reliance Jio's prime membership, which would continue to offer unlimited data benefits if registered before the end of this month, may be extended beyond March 31, said reports.
Jio's current advertisement campaign is totally focused on urging users to enrol for the plan before March 31 to avail unlimited benefits, which includes unlimited data use and free voice calls.
Once enrolled, prime members will continue to enjoy the benefits of the company's 'Happy New Year' plan at an introductory price of Rs 303 per month.
Reports now claim that this deadline may be extended to April 30. The 'unlimited plan' also includes JioTV, JioMusic, JioMags, Jio Cinema and JioXpressNews.
Jio Services were launched in September 2016 in which the domestic voice calls were announced to be free. Roaming is will be free on Jio's network.
According to reports, Reliance Jio head Mukesh Ambani also said that Reliance Jio will provide 20 per cent additional data as compared to each competitor in the market.
With Jio, Reliance is giving a tough competition to other telecom players in the market, especially Airtel, despite being a late entrant.
