Supporting Hafiz Saeed to Kashmir attacks: Why Pak Govt's 'war on terror' is just vanity

It is proven fact now that Pakistan has soft corner for Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed. In spite of submitting ample proof by India against most wanted terrorist, Pakistan never took strong action against Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Saeed. In fact, reports say that Pakistani Government supports Saeed-led JuD on one pretext or the other.

In another sign of official patronage to Hafiz, Pakistan government recently ran two special trains to transport people to Lahore for the terror group's two-day congregation. Not only that, now Indian Army has even found proofs which will further expose Pakistan, sponsering proxy war in India.

Saeed threathened India, asked Pak Govt to get freedom for Kashmiris

Addressing a JuD congregation at historical Minar-e-Pakistan ground in Lahore, Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed said that Pakistanis should come forward and help the Kashmiris in getting "freedom" from India. "If India can send troops to Afghanistan to help the US then Mujahideen have every right to go to Kashmir and help their brethren. Kashmiris are clamouring for help and it is our duty to respond to their call".

Saeed, who roams around freely in Pakistan despite being a designated terrorist, also asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to tell India firmly that the Kashmir issue had be resolved peacefully under the United Nation's resolution.

Otherwise it would be obligatory on him to extend his government's full support to Kashmiris in securing freedom. "We want to tell Nawaz Sharif that if India does not listen 'a language of love' then he should provide an open support to the Kashmiris for their freedom struggle," Saeed, who is also the founder of banned terror group Laskar-e-Taiba, told his supporters.

The mastermind of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks 2008 even threatened to take back Kashmir from India. From his official Twitter account, Saeed on Friday, Dec 5 tweeted, Ghazwae Hind is inevitable, Kashmir will be freed, 1971 Will be avenged and Ahmedabad Gujrat victims will get justice Insha Allah."

Tightening its noose around Lashkar-e-Taiba, the US in June added its affiliates, including the JuD, to its list of designated terror organisations. India has maintained that Saeed is the mastermind behind Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, conspiracy for which was hatched, planned and executed out of Pakistan. The attacks claimed 166 lives.

Food packets with Pakistani markings found in Kashmir terror attack

A day after the poll bound Jammu and Kashmir witnessed one of the worst days of terror in a string of brazen militant strikes, Army recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the six slain terrorists in the counter operation. The security forces have recovered 6 AK rifles with 55 magazines, 2 shotguns, 2 Night Vision Binoculars, 4 radio sets, 32 unused grenades from the slain terrorists.

Not only this, the Army has also recovered food packets having wrappers printed in Urdu and the arms have Pak markings from the terrorists. This once again shows that terrorism on Indian soil is being perpetrated by Pakistani Army.

"The food packets, which were recovered from the encounter site, are generally used by Pakistan Army," a senior army officer here said.

Pakistan provides crores of monetary aid to JuD

Hafiz Saeed spews venom every other day and the Pakistani Government continues to watch it as a mute spectator. Instead of cracking down, the Government provides monetary aide to JuD to bolster their misdemeanor against India.

The PML-N Government of Punjab province, headed by Shahbaz Sharif allocated Rs 6.1 crore to the organisation in the 2013 budget.

In addition to that, Rs 35 crore was also given for other development initiatives running under JuD. Similarly, in 2010-2011, 2009-2010 an amount of Rs 7.98 and Rs 8.2 crore was handed over by giving the reason that Islam seminary spends this money on development and social welfare schemes.

The argument given by officials that major amount of money is used for maintenance of schools and dispensaries is a white lie. The fact of the matter is that they use this money for terrorist activities right under the nose of Pakistani Government and the authorities does nothing about it.

Hafiz got ISI backing

It is established fact now that Hafiz Saeed enjoys immense political clout and patronage from ISI. In 2012, dreaded terrorist who are responsible for many carnage in India, including 2001 Parliament attack, was seen with Pakistan's top politicians PML-N chairman Raja Zafrul Haq and former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood in one of the meeting in Lahore.

This proves that terrorist Hafiz Saeed and his organisation JuD has complete backing of ISI and this was validated by David Headley, who was arrested in the US in connection with the 26/11 attacks.
