New Delhi, Nov 29: The National Investigation Agency has drawn up a list of realty firms which have had dealings with the Dr Zakir Naik Islamic Research Foundation which has now been banned.
It is part of the investigation and we need to find out why these firms had transacted with the IRF, a National Investigation Agency official told OneIndia.
While a few realty firms are under the scanner, the NIA is also looking at transactions made with some construction companies.
The NIA will now conduct searches at these firms to find out the exact link with the IRF. There have been transactions with these companies, the NIA official said. During the search and raids conducted in connection with the IRF, the NIA stumbled upon plenty of material which included links with the firms.
It is too early to conclude anything as of now as the investigation is still at a very preliminary stage.
During the last search we had found that the IRF had paid money to a person called Anaas who later on attempted joining the ISIS. Currently the dots are being joined and soon the picture will get clear, the investigating officer also informed.
