Re-investigate Mumbai 26/11 case, India tells Pakistan
India has told Pakistan to reinvestigate the Mumbai 26/11 terror attack case. India has also demanded that Hafiz Saeed, the boss of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba be put to trial as he had masterminded the attack.
India made the demand after Pakistan demanded that witnesses be sent. India termed the demand as an excuse and said that the case needs to be reinvestigated by Pakistan. The demand was made at the United Nations.
Ajit Kumar Indian Ambassador and permanent representative at the UN said that India is facing terror pushed by Pakistan. He said Pakistan created terrorist outfits against India. The monster is now devouring its creator, he also said.
The demand to bring the perpetrators of the 26/11 attack has been a long standing demand by India. Pakistan on the other hand has done little to try the accused in the case. In fact it has not even brought Saeed to trial. India insisted that all proof relating to the attack had been sent to Pakistan, but there was no concrete evidence to suggest that the country was serious about probing this case.
