The FBI had recently taken down one such darknet site, Alphabay after its role in pushing drugs was exposed. The SIT investigating the drug racket in Hyderabad has pushed for such sites to be shut down. Experts, however, believe that shutting down one site is of little help to curb the menace of narcotics.
