Toll Plaza
Pune, Jan 28: Following the massive vandalism by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers in toll booths in Bandra Worli Sea links, a case has been registered against their chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday at Rajgarh police station.

Satyapal Singh, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said,"We are going through Raj Thackeray's speech and if we find anything inappropriate, we will take appropriate action."

The move came in the light of detention of 71 MNS workers, apart from MLA Pravin Darekar, for vandalising toll plazas in Dahisar. The arrested have been booked under charges of arson, riot, damage to public property.

The erratic rampage was carried out after Raj Thackeray asked his party workers not to pay toll fees and resort to violence if required. "I am instructing all MNS workers, colleagues and people not to pay toll at any toll booth in Maharashtra from now on. If someone opposes you, fight with them," he had said.

Several government officials, stationed in the toll booths, are said to have been injured in the rampage as the MNS workers beat them up for demanding toll in several parts of the city.
