Rains keep mercury down in Delhi
The day temperature was today registered at 34.3 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degree Celsius, both the readings were normal for this part of the year.
An official of the MeT department said that 0.4 mm of rain was received in the city till 8.30 AM while 2.2 mm of rain was recorded between 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The humidity levels remained high as usual oscillating between 56 and 88 per cent during the day.
The maximum temperature yesterday settled at 35.3 degree Celsius, which was a notch above normal and minimum was recorded at 24.6 degree, two notches below normal.
Asked about tomorrow's forecast, a MeT official said it would be a generally cloudy sky and few spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers would occur. The maximum and minimum are likely to be at 31 and 25 degree, respectively, he said.
