Good news! Railways to give passengers only confirm tickets now
New Delhi, June 19: Soon, waiting train tickets will be the things of the past. Reportedly, Railways will give only confirmed tickets to passengers in 'Suvidha trains'. These trains will come into force in the first week of July.
Reservation of tatkal tickets to start from 10 am
Sources say Government is contemplating to start this facility, keeping in mind the heavy rush during peak seasons, like in winter and summer. The move will prove a big boon for all of them who visit their home town during festival seasons like Dussehra, Holi and Diwali.
It is being said that passengers will get only confirmed tickets in 'Suvidha trains', which will be started soon in place of premium trains to meet with the heavy rush.
As per a Hindi Daily report, to get confirm tickets in these 'Suvidha trains', a facility of degrading and upgrading tickets will be there.
Suppose someone will take a ticket of the first AC and it will not be confirmed, then the Railways will arrange him a confirmed ticket in other classes like AC second one. Similarly the rule applies with all other categories.
Only the travellers will have to do is to write this option while filing the reservation form at the time of the booking.
Train ticket not confirmed, don't worry! IRCTC will provide you discounted flight ticket
Reports say that this facility for the passengers is being started as an experiment, and if found successful, this will be applied to other trains also.
