The police chief who has just reached Parliament will brief the minister and explain as to why and how the entire process was carried out.

A major row had erupted after a team of the Delhi police had visited the office of Rahul Gandhi at Tuglaq Road on March 3 and sought details about his appearance. The Congress has threatened to disrupt Parliament stating that this was a case of snooping.

Government will answer in Parliament:

Rijiju will tell the Parliament that it was a security audit that was being carried out. He will also say that the Union Government or the Delhi police were not snooping into Rahul Gandhi.

The Delhi police chief who is briefing the Rijiju informed that such security audits are carried out regularly and several former Prime Ministers too have undergone this process. The process was carried out on Sonia Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee as well.

Congress will not relent:

Meanwhile the Congress is in no mood for any explanation. The Congress leadership has decided to create a ruckus in Parliament over the issue. They have said that they demand an apology and thorough explanation about the incident.

The Congress has also claimed that such exercises are carried out at the behest of the Union Government in an attempt to embarrass their leadership.
