Rahul Gandhi in Maha: RSS people killed Mahatma Gandhi
Thane, Mar 6: Taking the Lok Sabha election battle to Maharastra, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today hit out at the BJP saying that 'there was no comparison between the BJP and the Congress.'
Listing the achievements of the UPA government, Rahul said that the Congress gave inclusive growth in the last ten years. "In the last ten years, Congress took out more than 15 crore people from the clutches of poverty. If we really want to take the country forward, we need to listen to the poor," he said.
However he then turned his guns towards BJP and said: "BJP does not talk about the poor and the weak. RSS people killed Mahatma Gandhi and today, they talk about him. Sardar Patel was a Congress leader and today BJP says he was our neta."

He added and said that when the Opposition says that it will do things that were not done in 60 years in 60 months, it is a big disrespect to the people, who have worked hard all these years.
Speaking about women empowerment, Rahul urged the women to participate actively in politics. "Our efforts are to empower women, we want them in the Parliament and the Assemblies," he said.
