Shocking: Rahul Gandhi faces bald attack from bald men; BJP amused?

Rahul Gandhi
Nasik, Jan 24: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi might not have imagined even in his nightmare that his one statement criticising the opposition parties would hurt a group of people who would protest against him. Yes, Rahul's remark of "selling comb to bald men" did not go well with a few people in Nasik, Maharashtra.

Rahul's words, which actually were delivered to criticise BJP, hurt the sentiments of bald people in Nashik who feel the remarks smacked of lampooning the natural phenomenon.

A number of bald men in Amalner town of Jalgaon district in north Maharashtra took out a morcha against Rahul's statement that "opposition can even sell a comb to a bald man".

A memorandum was submitted to Sub-Divisional Officer Tukaram Hulwale by a delegation. The members said Rahul's comment, though aimed at BJP, has hurt their feelings and is smacked of ridicule.

Expressing his disappointment with Rahul and his statement, Shivaji Patil, a member of the delegation, was quoted as saying, "Baldness is a natural process. We protest against remarks made by Rahul."

Rahul's remark against BJP surfaced at the recently held All India Congress Committee (AICC) meeting where Rahul has been declared as the chief of Congress election campaign for upcoming Lok Sabha election. Citing the protest by the bald people against Rahul, BJP might be amused to see the reactions against Congress vice president.
