Pune shame: Man murders his mother, then rapes her

Pune, Sept 13: In one of the most shocking incident, a 38-year-old man first murdered and then raped his 60-year-old mother in Wakad area of Pune on Thursday, Sept 10.

According to reports, Sandeep Jadhav, the accused was in inebriated condition at the time of the incident around 8.30 pm.

The sensational crime came to light when Sandeep's elder brother, 43-year-old Pravin Jadhav returned home at night. After finding his mother, Malan Jadhav, in an unconscious state, Pravin called a doctor.

Doctor told Pravin that his mother might have been raped, following which he called the police.

Police arrested and charged Sandeep under sections 376 (rape) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The body has been sent for autopsy to ascertain how she was killed. Police could not find any strangulation mark on her body.

Meanwhile, doctors claimed that she might have died of shock that her son was raping her or due to suffocation.

'Sandeep demanded sex from her mother in the past'

A shocking revelation came to the fore during investigation, when police said that the accused had demanded sexual relations with her elderly mother in the past. He also forced her to remover her clothes.

His mother had also threatened him to complaint to police.

'Sandeep turned necrophile'

According to a report published in Mid Day, the accused, who is unmarried and works as a daily-wage labourer at construction sites, confessed that he first murdered his mother and then raped her.

Pravin, his elder brother works as a driver and he stays with his wife near his mother's home.

Pravin was quoted saying as to the Daily, "Our mother had undergone many hardships to bring us up after our father died. Initially we all used to live together. My brother is an alcoholic. Due to the daily nuisance and ruckus that he created after he got drunk, I shifted to another house with my wife . I feel guilty that I left my mother to stay in another house."
