Women's organisations, local people and the All Assam Students Union members staged a two-hour demonstration in front of the Boganadi police station from noon demanding the arrest and punishment of the anti-socials.
Asserting that the 24-hour deadline given on November 25 by the district administration to nab the assailants had elapsed, the protesters demanded that the police should unravel the clues if it was a case of murder or should make a detailed probe to know how such an incident occurred, if it was an accident case.
